Victory for St Barts at the WACA

1st December 2011 was a great day for the Residents of 78 Brown Street at the 3rd  annual WA Reclink Cricket Competition which took place at the WACA.

St Barts cricket team, Brothers United, have participated in the competition since it started two years ago, and finished as runners up in both 2009 and 2010. This time, however, Brothers United went one step further with a fantastic victory in the Super 8’s  Final against Eclectics, a mental health community services agency.

Brothers United and Eclectics had met twice before in the competition, with 1 win each, showing how evenly matched the teams were, but it was St Bart’s residents that brought the trophy home to 78 Brown Street with a fine victory in the final.

Australia are currently playing India in the international test match series, and Michael Clark will be glad to know that there are some very talented players coming through within Australia.

Congratulations to the residents from 78 Brown Street and their Activity  HTSS support team Ahsan, Rebecca and Leigh on their victory.

Lets hope this is the start of a winning streak that will lead to a victory in AFL footie season in 2012!
