Andrew Hogan (St Bart’s CEO) personally thanked all the volunteers in our community for their selfless efforts, the difference they make in peoples lives which in turn makes our community a better place to live.

Simone, Administrator from Perth City farm also thanked all the volunteers and acknowledged how none of the great projects and services that Perth City farm offers the community would be possible without the contribution of volunteers.

The evening was also an opportunity for St Bart’s to honour and recognise volunteers and individuals of other organisations who have made a valuable contribution to St Bart’s for over 5 years.

They include:

Sue and John Bowls who have been offering social support and comfort to our James Watson Aged care residents for over 7 years of dedicated service. Sadly John passed away about 6 months ago but Sue still continues to support our residents.

Rosanne Gresser who has volunteered and championed our literacy program; assisting many of our clients to learn and improve their skills in reading and writing for over 5 years.

Grace Frost: who has worked as a volunteer in our Befriender program supporting our clients in the community, reducing their social isolation and helping them to maintain their tenancy.

Clive Rosser: who is one of the founders and driving force behind the East Perth Community Safety Group and have supported St Bart’s with many fundraisers and community profile raising with the East Perth Christmas Carols, and Australia day BBQ in Victoria gardens.

Mike & Robin Penny and Colin McClughan: whose association with the East Perth Rotary and EPCSG have also contributed greatly with the East Perth Christmas Carols and Australia day BBQ in Victoria gardens as well as other fundraising events for St Bart’s.

Sarah Murphy, Director, Conservation & Stewardship | National Trust of Australia (WA) who has supported St Bart’s and Our clients giving them the opportunity to give back to the community by opening up the grounds of the East Perth cemetery on a Sunday morning to tender and weed the Anglican grave sites.
