About the role
James Watson Aged Care Centre is a specialised residential aged care service providing nursing care for up to 40 men who are experiencing, or at risk of homelessness.
We are seeking casual Care Assistants who as a key member of the James Watson team, works with the registered and enrolled nurses to provide excellent care to our consumers by:
- Assisting with personal care needs
- Providing emotional and psychological support
- Working with them to implement strategies that enhance their wellbeing
The Casual Care Assistant attracts an hourly rate of $36.40 including casual loading.
We are seeking a flexible, empathetic person with relevant experience providing care. To be successful, you will need to work collaboratively with others and have high levels of communication skills as well as be able to use initiative to solve problems and sometimes deal with unexpected situations.
A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care is required as well as a current first aid certificate.
