Enrolled Nurse

About the role

The Enrolled Nurse is hands on to lead, support and mentor the night care team to ensure the high quality care of all residents of our James Watson aged care centre, a specialised residential aged care that provides nursing care for up to 40 men who are experiencing, or at risk of homelessness. 

This role is a permanent part time position, working fixed night shifts, 25.8 hours per week.  You will be the primary contact for the care and support staff rostered for the night shift.

Taking into consideration the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant the base salary offered for this position spans from $64,299.04 to $68,962.40 pro-rata plus superannuation.

About you

We are looking for someone who is currently registered as an Enrolled Nurse, with at least one year’s clinical experience in Aged Care with knowledge of the Aged Care Funding Instrument, accreditation and quality management processes, and relevant legislation. 

In addition, our ideal candidate:

  • Is a good communicator with clinical report writing skills
  • Has the ability to identify clinical risk in the aged care setting
  • Has an good understanding of the needs of older people
  • Is able to lead, mentor and develop care staff
