About the role
We are seeking part time, fixed term Recovery Support Workers who will work in our temporary eight bed support service for people who are sleeping rough and have tested positive for COVID-19. The role will provide practical and emotional support to consumers accessing the service whilst they quarantine for a three-month period, with possibility of extension.
The Support Worker will work with a Security Officer with limited supervision and some on-site nursing support.
The role will work 56 hours per fortnight over four shifts from Monday to Sunday.
The base salary offered for this position is $29.12 per hour (or $57,541.12 per annum pro rata). A $10,000 retention bonus is available for the 3 month period with a portion paid for each month of satisfactory service in the role.
To be successful, you will need a tertiary qualification in Community Services, Mental Health or related discipline (minimum Cert III) or working towards a degree in a related field together with demonstrated experience.
You will need to be comfortable working in full PPE daily, confident to work as a lone support worker with minimal supervision with the ability to take initiative.

As we work with vulnerable people, the successful candidate will be required to show proof of influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations (unless a medical exemption is provided). The successful candidate must also have or be willing to obtain a current satisfactory National Police Clearance, first aid certificate and a current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
