Recovery Support Worker – Medina

Our Accommodation Units provide short-term community based traditional or respite accommodation for adults aged 18 years and older who are living with a mental health challenge.

This part time Recovery Support Worker will work 21.1 hours per week (rostered Monday to Sunday) at our Medina location to provide support to our consumers in their recovery journey, helping them to build independence and meet individual goals while reviewing and monitoring progress. 

This position is a predominantly lone working position which works with limited supervision. 

Taking into consideration the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant the base salary offered for this position spans from $60,188 to $56,662 pro rata base salary plus superannuation. 

About you

To be successful in this role you will need a tertiary qualification in Community Services, Mental Health or related discipline (minimum Cert III) or working towards a degree in a related field together with demonstrated experience. 

In addition, our ideal candidate:

  • Is a great communicator with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport and relationships
  • Has knowledge and understanding of wellness, recovery and trauma informed principles
  • Will be comfortable and confident working in a lone setting with minimal supervision 
  • Can take initiative, problem solve and work autonomously as well as work well under pressure

The successful candidate must also possess a current National Police Clearance and current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
