Our James Watson Centre is a 40-bed residential aged care facility, supporting men who have experienced chronic homelessness. Our uniqueness of our service is that our resident’s range in age from those in their 50’s, to their 90’s, each with varying needs, making this role both impactful and rewarding.
As our Clinical Nurse Manager, you guide and mentor our nursing team and support workers, leading by example to deliver engagement and maximise well-being of our residents. Your leadership will add to our warm and welcoming environment. You will be instrumental in shaping our clinical practices and driving continuous improvement.
A day on the job will see you:
• Oversee and ensure that clinical care standards consistently meet or exceed the aged care and NDIS practice standards on a daily basis.
• Provide expert guidance and support to nursing staff, particularly in managing complex health and mental health challenges encountered by our residents.
• Lead and manage clinical operations to ensure the provision of high-quality nursing services, emphasizing a person-centred, trauma-informed care approach.
• Coordinate and manage the seamless admission process for new residents, ensuring a smooth transition into care.
• Oversee the management of our residents clinical care needs, ensuring all assessments and documentation reflect their individual needs and comply with relevant standards and requirements.

• Proven experience in a leadership role with a current (Nurse Division 1) registration with AHPRA. Aged care experience is highly regarded.
• Demonstrated experienced in delivering outstanding residential care, combined with strong clinical management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain accountability, and a adopt a consultative approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
• A natural leader with a professional demeanor and exceptional communication skills, capable of motivating teams effectively.

About Us
For 60 years, St Bart’s has supported people experiencing homelessness and severe and persistent mental health issues as they rebuild their lives. We started as a small homeless shelter for men and have grown into a progressive and inclusive organisation providing support to hundreds of Western Australian men, women and families across four key service areas.
