“I’m so grateful to have found a place to get back on track. Being at St Bart’s is helping me achieve what I need for me and my daughter,” said Tamara, a resident at our Women’s Service.
Tamara bravely shared her story with St Bart’s executive team and guests last month, which included the Hon. Simone McGurk, as we were presented with a generous $325,000 grant from Lotterywest.
The grant ensures that St Bart’s Women’s Service, which is wholly funded by donors and philanthropic supporters, will be able to keep its doors open for another 12 months.
We’re extremely grateful for Lotterywest, for enabling us to assist women in our community to achieve their goal of securing a safe place to call home, and to Minister McGurk for taking the time to speak with us and hear our stories.
