About the role

The Senior Recovery Worker is responsible for assessing the eligibility and suitability of referrals, coordinating new admissions in consultation with the Regional Manager Mental Health – South and providing supervision to a small team whilst still providing direct support to St Bart’s consumers experiencing mental health challenges and homelessness. This role is also responsible for managing incidents and complaints and conducting risk assessments and management.

This position is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in either Midland or Cannington at one of our accommodation units.

Taking into consideration the qualifications, skills and experience of the successful applicant the base salary offered for this position spans from $82,043.52 – $88,287.68 per annum plus superannuation

About you

Our ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification (minimum Certificate IV) in Mental Health, Social Science, Community Services, or a similar discipline and has previous experience working within a supported accommodation setting and with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health and other personal or social challenges.

We are also looking for someone with an understanding of assessment, planning and case management and an applied knowledge of recovery principles and trauma informed practice.

The successful candidate must also have or be willing to obtain:

  • A Current satisfactory National Police Certificate
  • A Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current WA “C” Class Driver’s License.
